Chapter One
Guy Sheppard served in the United States Army from July 1978 through September 1981. Like many veterans, the lessons he carried away — perseverance, discipline, faith, purpose — became the foundation for everything that came after.
One of those chapters began unexpectedly. With a paintbrush.

Chapter Two
Seventeen years ago, Guy’s wife saw a creative side in him that he hadn’t yet explored — and she encouraged him to pick up a brush. He lovingly calls her his muse.
What began as a hobby became a way to slow down, focus his mind, and say the things that can’t easily be put into words. Every canvas became a chance to learn, improve, and make something meaningful.

Chapter Three
After Guy suffered a stroke, recovery demanded the same patience and perseverance that had carried him through everything else. Painting gave him something to concentrate on — and something to keep working toward.
Rather than letting adversity define what came next, Guy kept creating. Art became therapeutic: it kept his mind active, gave him a sense of accomplishment, and reinforced one truth — keep moving forward, even when progress comes slowly.
